Road to November

This week PA voters begin voting on an open US Senate seat, a critical governorship, and dozens of other positions that will determine the future of abortion rights in PA as well the future of fair elections nationwide.

To win these races, PA Dems need local volunteers who can go door-to-door talking with voters and getting out the vote. Join us as we phone folks who are on our side to connect them with the campaigns that need their help.

Swing Blue Alliance is one of the only grassroots organizations working directly with Democratic candidates and county parties. Our cards and letters give voters concrete actions for maximal impact.

Time is running out to get this information to voters in swing states. Find a mailing event near you this week:

The Swing Blue Postcard Team will provide one-on-one mentoring, giving you all the support you need to distribute cards.

Studies show that canvassing can increase voter turnout by up to 9% and change hearts and minds by up to 5%.  Elections in NH are usually very close: in 2016 Senator Hassan won by only 1017 votes!

Sat, Sep. 24 @ 10 am - 1 pm; Sun, Sept 25 @ 12 - 3 pm EDT

and every Sat and Sun until the election

There is still one more chance to acquire the power of “compassionate curiosity” with Deep Canvassing Training:

Wed, Oct. 12 @ 5 - 6:30 pm EDT

Many thanks to all who stepped up for recent Swing Blue Alliance fundraisers, enabling organizers in NC, NH and GA to make the most of these last crucial weeks before the midterms.

The Sept. 13 Black Voters Can Shift the Power in NC event raised over $193,000. Your donations enable Advance Carolina and the NC A. Philip Randolph Educational Foundation to:

  • step up efforts in 30 key races in 25 counties
  • speak with 150,000 voters
  • hold 16 Black youth neighborhood canvasses
  • educate citizens about how voting makes a difference in healthcare, housing, education and jobs

The Sept. 18 Organize NH and All-Volunteer Roundup raised $13,600 for Chris Pappas and Annie Kuster in NH. With your donations, Pappas and Kuster will be able to:

  • increase voter turnout, crucial in these "toss-up" races
  • get out their message about the extremism of their opponents and their positive proposals for New Hampshire

Our August donation of $500 to Indivisibles in GA was matched. Thanks to your generosity, Indivisible GA gave grants of $250 to four different Indivisible groups in GA.  The GA 09 (Lumpkin County) Indivisibles sent us an inspiring thank-you, explaining that with their grant, they can now:

  • reach new voters in rural north Georgia
  • build on their 6 years of successes at organizing a progressive community is this formerly 80/20 R district
  • support organized resistance to the "clown show" alliance between Lumpkin County's Rep. Andrew Clyde and Marjorie Taylor Greene
  • continue to reach out via  their website and Facebook

Between now and November, Swing Blue Alliance could use your help to continue organizing. Donations go straight to the materials that we need and fees to keep our website up and running.
