The most important thing we can do in Pennsylvania to win the election is to register new voters. And where do you find young unregistered voters all in one place at the same time? At college campuses during the first week of classes.
We are lucky enough to be partnering with a group that is already well recognized on PA campuses as ambassadors of civic engagement and voter registration. Their goal is to register 10-12,000 students during Welcome Weeks and they need all the help we can offer.
You can sign up here for 3 new colleges that we recently added to our roster:
August 19-20 Thomas Jefferson University in the city.
August 21 and 22, Bucks County Community College, at their main campus in Newtown.
August 26 and 27, Delaware County Community College, at their Marple Campus.
In each school we will be working closely with our partner group. One of their Organizers will direct our efforts.
To ensure that you are well trained and will be successful, we ask all volunteers to sign up for a 90-minute class on August 13. You can sign up HERE.
And – we’ve rented a glorious 5 bedroom house in Philadelphia! College voter registration is primarily during the week, so why not register students on weekdays and stay for the weekend and canvass. You can request a room HERE.
