An exciting, effective Swing Blue/Working America effort to reach working class voters in Pennsylvania
Working America is the community affiliate of the AFL-CIO with 4.3 million non-union members committed to policies that benefit working people. While 90% of WA members are not on any progressive mailing list, they are likely voters! Swing Blue is sending letters to WA members in Pennsylvania about the importance of health care. These letters do not mention candidates or voting because multiple WA studies have found that addressing issues, rather than candidates, is much more effective. Once these letters go out, WA will follow up with its members to vote for the better health care candidate.
Volunteers receive a packet of 25 letters, addresses, instructions, and stamps (at the pre-July 14th price). It takes about an hour to complete a packet. All you have to do is write the recipient’s name at the top, provide a 2-3 sentence personal statement about healthcare, sign your name and address the envelope.
DO NOT MAIL! RETURN ALL LETTERS TO ME IN ORIGINAL ENVELOPE. (Each envelope has a tracking number on it and we need to know exactly which sets of addresses are complete.)
The price for each packet is $24 payable by Venmo @ Joyce-Davis-183, cash, or check made out to Joyce Davis.
Packets should be returned two weeks after pickup although I can be flexible about this.
