This Is What Activism Looks Like

Spark of Activism

We're not burnt out. We're fired up!

We're getting record donations for state legislatures. Building a team of NC volunteers. Setting out for AZ, PA, and NY, and by text, to register voters. Sending postcards across the country. Deepening partnerships in swing districts to win back the House and keep the Senate.  Boosting the Biden agenda for the win!,

March Frontline Update

frontline update

While the Republican National Committee is in chaos, Democrats are gearing up to win races from state legislatures to the Presidency. At the March Frontline Update you'll hear how Swing Blue and our partners are poised to make a difference in this election year.

Our research team will report on the impact of our projects in Ohio, Wisconsin and North Carolina, and you'll hear about our growing partnerships in Pennsylvania, Arizona and New York. Join the conversation and stay fired up for democracy!

Deep Canvassing

Deep canvassing is a proven method for changing hearts and minds. Anyone can learn how to do it! Yes, shy person, you too!

The Deep Canvass Institute is offering a one-hour info session for anyone who's aware that canvassing is THE most effective way to influence election outcomes but needs to know more before jumping in.

This session will cover the core components of deep canvassing, and will help you decide if you want to sign up for the next (free!) three-session “Deep Canvass Institute 101,” which will be held on April 16, 17, and 20.

Tues, Mar 19 @ 6 pm - 7 pm EDT

Your Calls Bring Out NC Volunteers

register 40K voters in Mecklenburg county

After a wildly successful fundraiser for two standout voter registration groups, All in for NC is continuing to help Mecklenburg County bring out volunteers in the Charlotte area with their Sunday phone banks. Hear about their plans at the AINC Monthly Meeting, Monday March 18.

Swing Blue Alliance is now hosting new phone banks to help AINC turn out even more local volunteers. These will be every other Wednesday, beginning March 27 at 6-8pm EDT.

The people you'll call are fired up and eager to get involved. They just need your helpful invitation to find out what they can do.

Swinging Arizona Blue

Visit Arizona!

Generous Swing Blue donors came together on March 11 to decide which state should get the $25,000 we're raising for The States Project.  And the winner is........ARIZONA.

This donation will help Arizona Democrats:

     - Win control of the AZ Senate and House

     - Put the Arizona Abortion Access Initiative on the ballot in November

     - Get Ruben Gallego elected to the US Senate

     - Win AZ's crucial 11 electoral votes for President Biden

This doesn't diminish our commitment to NC, PA, and our other partners. At the same meeting, donors decided to keep fundraising for the States Project so that we can give another $25,000 to North Carolina, and to organize more volunteers to travel to nearby PA to register voters and knock on doors.

Activist Afternoons is Growing

Activist Afternoons

Activist Afternoons in Cambridge have been so successful that they've spawned new activist gatherings in other communities. Now you can gather with like-minded activists in Cambridge, Brookline, Concord, Andover, and Northampton. And now there's an easy toolkit you can use to start Activist Afternoons in your own community!

New Project: Texting to Register PA Voters

Texting to voters

Swing Blue Alliance is now working with Field Team 6 to text unregistered likely Democrats in key swing states, beginning with Pennsylvania.

Field Team 6 provides plenty of training. There are a few things you'll need to set up on your computer but they aren't difficult. We strongly suggest that you attend the FT6 Boot Camp session which is given every Thursday from 6-7:30 PM EDT. However, if you're tech savvy and want to do the set up on your own, the FT6 User Guide provides all the information.

Amplify This

The Grassroots Connector is the Substack publication of the Grassroots Collaborative. It's a place where you can read about innovative grassroots projects, find useful toolkits, and write about your own projects. Since its launch just a month ago, it has already had 50,000 views! Take a look, subscribe and participate!

You'll especially enjoy Connect0r's letter to the New York Times in response to their article claiming that activists are "exhausted." As the letter says about the very recent Suozzi campaign, "If this be burnout, we at the Grassroots Connector...can only shout: Burn On!"
