The 2024 election cycle is here, and the stakes have never been higher. American democracy is again on the ballot as Vice President Kamala Harris faces former President Donald Trump. We must band together to support the Democratic party in this election. Not just for the presidency, but down the ballot as well. 

Choosing the 2024 States

Swing Blue Alliance has a meticulous process for determining where we’ll invest our time and energy as an organization to ensure your volunteer work counts—we call it AIM HI.

ADDITIVE: If we didn’t do it, it wouldn’t get done.

IMPORTANT: Campaigns support critical races up and down the ballot 

MEASURABLE: We choose campaigns where we can quantify the effect of our work.

HELPFUL: We support our partners who are fighting on the frontlines.

IMPACTFUL: We customize proven tactics to achieve our intended outcomes.

This framework aims to identify campaigns that are meaningful to safeguarding democracy and the Democratic ideals. After going through this process we’ve chosen five priority states and a handful of secondary states that we’ll support opportunistically as the campaigns evolve.

Swing Blue Alliance thrives because of our vast community of volunteers, organizers, and partners, and we would love for you to join our group. The commitment and time you spend is completely up to you. Some of our volunteers meet once a week to write postcards, other organizers chat on Zoom to exchange activism best practices, others support our infrastructure services, such as this website or our email communications. There are many ways you can help, and we’ll be there for you every step of the way.
