This month, we will be sending postcards to infrequent voters in Ohio to promote Voting by Mail. Ohio is a critical state for the US Senate and House. Infrequent voters may not realize they have to sign up for Voting by Mail for every election. Contacting these voters between the primary and the general election with an action they can take NOW helps with voter engagement and attention. And signing up early for the November election can help increase voter turnout.
You have the option to pick up postcard packets (25 postcards each) from 9am to 6pm on Sunday, May 19th in Jamaica Plain. If you’d like to write your cards with others, you have the option to come between 2pm and 4pm and write cards with other members of the group.
Packets come with stamps, instructions, and addresses. Addresses will be preprinted; writers just write the note. Participants are asked to reimburse the cost of materials, which is $14 per packet. We have a slush fund for those who can write cards but cannot afford the reimbursement, so sign up!
