An Incredible Week on College Campuses
|
Last week was fantastically successful registering college students in Pennsylvania. At eight schools, over 80 volunteers from SBA and our partner, Project 26 PA, helped 1,578 PA college students register. We estimate that Swing Blue was responsible for about 45% of those, which means that our volunteers registered about 710 students last week. Statewide, Project 26 PA registered nearly 5,000 students. Rachel Taint of Project 26 PA writes, "Thank YOU, Swing Blue team, for an incredible week!"

Phone Bank Volunteers Thrilled
|
Here are some comments from happy SBA phone bankers calling with All In for NC to encourage people to volunteer.

- Got six “yeses” to go to the social event and two new volunteers to canvass. So many folks said how hopeful they are feeling now that Harris is in the election. Very encouraging chats.
- We're working with a fantastic "Cadillac" automated system, so we're now going through the lists quickly.
- On my last call, the guy was gung ho. He was eager and willing to continue participating. I had quite a few people who were interested.
- A Harris supporter has tons of nieces and nephews and will make sure they vote. “They don’t always vote, but I’ll make sure they do this time.”

Meeting face to face with potential voters is the most powerful way to bring Democratic voters to the polls.

Join SBA volunteers who are headed to Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, and Arizona. You'll be registering voters and talking to people about the Democratic candidates for the House of Representatives. Getting these candidates elected is critical to the future of the country.

As you read above, we’ve been incredibly successful registering college students in Pennsylvania. Now, there are more opportunities to get young people to the polls. Plus, there is training on September 6 and September 9 (as well as on campus).
