Closing Strong |
|
"Vice President Harris is working hard, lifting us up, and closing strong." So says Simon Rosenberg, who correctly predicted the 2022 Blue Wave. "Friends," concludes Rosenberg, "we are winning this election, but have not won it - yet!!!!!!! Need to keep working hard and closing strong." |
We have four more days. Let's use them to close strong and win. |
Philly Needs Election Day Volunteers |
|
The Swing Blue team in Philly is in the news! They're featured in a 10/31 article in The Philadelphia Citizen - along with discussion of many celebrities who are campaigning in Philly - and also in a 10/29 story on Boston's WBUR radio. |
If you can get to Philadelphia for Election Day, you are still needed, whether or not you're a celebrity. Please contact Kelli Henry at the So Philly Harris/Walz field office: khenry@2024victory.com or (240)687-9546. Tell Kelli that Pat Baker (one of the Swing Blue volunteers in the above picture) sent you. Volunteers are needed to stand out with Harris-Walz signs on Election Day, or to engage in other activities on Nov 4th or 5th.
If you CAN'T get to Philadelphia and you still want to help out, please volunteer for DJs at the Polls, a program promoted by Focus for Democracy. Work from home - get trained now! Must have average spreadsheet skills. If that description fits you, you can sign up for specific shifts on this sheet and then sign up for one of the virtual training sessions below:

Today, Sunday and Monday, join us as we go all out, phoning voters in PA and WI. Whether you can come for just a few calls, can do several shifts, or can do some calls, take a break, and come back, every call you can make is important. |

We're Nauseously Optimistic: Post-Election Drop-In Sessions |
While we're optimistic about the outcome of this election, most of us are, as Robert Reich has put it, "nauseously optimistic." |
It's unlikely that we'll know who won the election on Tuesday night. In 2020, the final result wasn't known until the Saturday after Election Day. This Election Night Viewing Guide, by election expert Evan Grossman, gives a thorough outline of when we can expect to know what. |
Don't endure your nauseous optimism alone! Swing Blue Alliance is holding post-election drop-in Zoom sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Volunteers from the Swing Blue leadership team will be there to offer support, answer questions, celebrate our successes, and just provide community. |
To help allay worries about the inevitable Republican post-election shenanigans, consider supporting Democracy Docket, which is doggedly pursuing every legal route to protect the election. |
Wed, Nov 6, Thu, Nov 7, Fri, Nov 8 @ 1 pm - 2 pm and 6 pm - 7 pm EST |
North Carolina Volunteers: Save the Date! |
All In For NC has organized a volunteer appreciation event, featuring activist Jessica Craven and Mecklenburg County Dem Chair Drew Kromer. Celebrate your NC wins with fellow volunteers! |
