Democrats Can Flip the WI Supreme Court
The primary is just 10 days away for the most important race shaping 2024, Wisconsin's Supreme Court election. The top two candidates advance to the April 4 election regardless of party. So the time is NOW to turn out Democratic voters.
Winning this one seat will open the door to fair districting maps, which could lead to a full restoration of democracy in the state. And democracy in Wisconsin is key to the 2024 presidential election.
A note from Jess Craven: From what I’ve learned on my phone banks so far, folks there are largely clueless about the critical election they have coming up. Even if they have a foggy notion that there’s a Supreme Court race somewhere in their future, they don’t know there’s a primary on February 21st and a general election on April 4th; they have no clue who the two Democrats running are (Dane County Judge Everett Mitchell and Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz); they don’t know that there will be no party affiliations listed on the ballot, and definitely don’t realize how high the stakes are (for abortion rights, gerrymandering, and possibly the outcome of the 2024 Presidential election). So these phone banks couldn’t be more important.
We had another amazing SBA Wisconsin Supreme Court phone bank last Monday, 43 people joined in. We made around 7,000 dialed numbers and talked with approximately 275 people! The list was again great, people reported speaking to a lot of voters, most of them supporters, and we had few disconnected or wrong numbers -Steve Vogel

With its Democratic governor and Republican state legislature, NC is known as a purple state, but there is a long way to go to strengthen electoral possibilities for Democrats.
