We Believe … Stand Up is a weekly event held on Fridays from 11:30 to 12:30 in the center of Williamsburg. This event is open to all with the focus on helping to ensure all members of our communities are treated with respect, kindness, and compassion. Members of this group care deeply about liberty and justice for all. We recognize the tragic consequences when individuals and governments embrace lies and hate. We understand that greed and corruption are destroying so many lives in this current moment but also we must fight for a future world in which all children can grow and thrive.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action that is community-led and grounded in moral witness, public accountability, and collective care. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
