Your letter in your local paper can sway voter opinion and counter false narratives. In this training session, you will learn how to craft the most effective letters to the editor by focusing on how you are personally affected. We will talk through sample letters and what makes them persuasive.
You’ll also learn to write what is called a “pitch”: How to write an eye-catching headline for your upcoming event, project, or campaign and line up compelling details. We’ll talk about where exactly to send this winning pitch, the magic of timing, & how to take full advantage of victory if you land in print or on the air.
