For once, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal agree: the upcoming Virginia elections are “the most important elections of 2023.”
Democrats currently have a paper-thin 2-vote margin in the State Senate, but are down by 3 or 4 in the House of Delegates. If Republicans gain control of the legislature, they will almost certainly pass a statewide abortion ban, support more book bans, increase barriers to voting, weaken pollution controls, and make Virginia look a lot like Florida. If the
Dems win this election, it will give us a big boost heading into 2024.
These postcards will be sent in support of Clint Jenkins in SD17, a tossup district that could determine which party controls the State Senate.
In addition to helping Jenkins, these cards will influence voters in several close House districts where turnout is critical. These districts overlap with SD17, thus giving us 2 or 3 times the impact with this single card.
