AIM HI for the Midterms:
Sunday, August 21st 5-6 pm
If you want to wake up on November 9th feeling that you made a meaningful contribution to swinging our country Blue, the next Swing Blue All-Volunteer meeting is for you.
AIM HI is Swing Blue’s acronym that stands for actions that are Additive, Important, Measurable, Helpful and, most importantly, Impactful. For the last five years, we’ve been designing programs with these goals in mind. At AIM HI for the Midterms, you’ll hear from volunteers like you who have been knocking doors, making phone calls and hosting mailing campaigns. They will share their stories - both the good and the bad - and help inspire you to join in.
You’ll also receive critical updates from program leads and relive some touching stories from 2020. As always, one lucky person will win a door prize and there will be time for Q&A afterwards. Spend an hour on Sunday, August 21st with Swing Blue Alliance - you’ll be glad you did!

From Caring to Doing: Get Started with Donor Organizing
Are you troubled by what’s happening in our country’s democracy and wondering how you could do more?
Swing Blue is co-sponsoring this event with the Donor Organizer Hub, where you can get started with the highest-impact role to change politics. You'll hear from real people who never thought of themselves as political fundraisers, who are ready to help you put together everything you need to channel your passion into a plan.

Tues. Aug 16 @ 7 - 8:30 pm EDT (4 - 4:30 pm PDT)

Starting out as a Postcard Organizer
Postcard Organizers Reena Freedman and Tracy Walton started out small. Reena realized that she had friends and neighbors who wanted to send postcards, and offered to deliver them - the first delivery was to just 10 volunteers. Tracy began with a simple email to friends and family and found 9 volunteers. Interest snowballed from there, and by the end of August they will have hosted 23 events and sent over 56,000 postcards/letters.
Inspired? Join the Swing Blue Alliance Mailing Campaign volunteers Julia and Emily, with Tracy and Reena as special guests. They will show you how to register for the Swing Blue Organizing Center, place your order on the E-Store, and spread the word about your distribution to your network.

Just 10 More Weeks to Order
Letters and Cards
From the North Carolina state legislature and the Pennsylvania Governorship to the New Hampshire Executive Council and the Arizona Secretary of State, candidates are depending on YOU to get your friends and neighbors involved.
North Carolina Postcards, our newest campaign, is in support of Mary Wills Bode. Bode is a non-profit executive director, attorney, and North Carolina native who is running in a newly drawn D+2 district. Our postcard will introduce her to the voters in this new district.

Help Swing Blue Fund Indivisible Groups in Georgia
August is matching grant month for Indivisible groups. Swing Blue Alliance is donating $500 plus $500 in matching grants to fund Indivisible Georgia Coalition groups across the Peach State. We’re halfway to our goal of generating $1,000 to help Georgia activists pay for voter registration, get-out-the-vote campaigns, and civic education materials!
Western Massachusetts Take Back our Democracy Coalition is partnering with the Georgia Democratic Party to swing GA Blue-er.
You can join to call Democratic voters in GA on behalf of Rev Sen. Rafael Warnock and Stacy Abrams, the dream team of candidates! Calling is fun, the script is short, simple, and easy, and you will get all the training you need. For questions or more information, contact Elizabeth at eliz.silver999@gmail.com.
