URGENT: Help the Center for Common Ground Call Georgia Voters to Oppose Voter Suppression Bills

Posted on March 6, 2021

Calling all Volunteers!

The Georgia Senate is voting on two horrendous bills this week (SB241 and HB531) that would suppress thousands of Georgia voters – especially voters of color.

We need all hands on deck to stop these bills from passing.

Legislators have proposed restricting ballot dropboxes and weekend voting, ending no-excuse absentee voting, criminalizing volunteers for handing out food and water to voters waiting in long lines, and so much more.

Help us call voters to take action against these bills.

SB241 and HB531 will face votes as soon as Monday.

Our phone banking team calls Georgia voters of color in key districts and connects them to their state senators. This is the most effective way for their voices to be heard. Our phone banks are carefully chosen to target the legislators that most need to hear from their underrepresented constituents.

Join us by attending one of our national phone banking trainings, or by signing up on your own!

Optional guided events:

With your help, we can raise constituents’ voices and place further pressure on legislators seeking to restrict Georgia voting rights.
