Want to be part of the scene at Swing Left or Indivisible-MA? Then, it’s time to get on Slack, a well-organized chat room (think water cooler gathering) that allows you to ask questions and get answers fast – without wading through piles of email.
Here’s what Swing Left’s Slack workspace looks like:
There are four main things to pay attention to:
The name of the Slack workspace
The list of channels you’ve chosen to join
The list of people with whom you’ve communicated directly
The chat window
The place where you write messages to a channel or specific person
There are two great progressive workspaces for you to join. Swing Left Support Slack is open to anyone who wants to unseat Trump, flip the Senate, and take back key state legislatures. Indivisible MA Slack is open to any activist from Massachusetts working on similar Indivisible-aligned projects.
So, use the form to join either of these Slack workspaces. Then, visit Slack on the web. Wander around. Put in your two cents. Whenever you’re ready, you can download the desktop or mobile app as well.
