Frontline Updates

Kudos to those who made our April Frontline Update a resounding success, including the 238 volunteers who heard Simon Rosenberg's inspiring message. You can hear and/or share now on YouTube.  (https://youtu.be/xCnA2myMEdM)

For our next 30-minute Update, on May 21, we welcome David Pepper, author of Laboratories of Autocracy: A Wake-up Call from Behind the Lines.

Pepper, the former Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party, sees huge potential in the Democratic county parties in rural areas, where courageous Democrats run for office and groups like Swing Blue Alliance could make a major difference in turning out Blue voters.

Come hear Pepper's bracing call to action and wealth of practical ideas about the importance of working with county Democratic parties to save democracy.

Sun, May 21 @ 5 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

New Ideas for North Carolina

"There can be little doubt that winning North Carolina is one of the Democratic Party’s highest priorities in 2024."  -Simon Rosenberg

On May 9, join us to hear Rosenberg explain why he's optimistic about the future for North Carolina Democrats. This event is co-sponsored by Carolina Forward, All In for NC, Lean Left VT, Left of Center, Swing Blue Alliance and Together We Elect.

Rosenberg is challenging Democrats to think big, re-imagine, and grow our coalition in order to regularly get 55% of the votes nationally. He will talk about how North Carolina is essential to this picture and how we can organize to achieve it.

Tues, May 9 @ 8 pm EDT

Let's Put NC Over the Top!

Put NC Over the Top

Rep. Jamie Raskin joins All In for NC for a fundraiser for Put NC First.

Put NC First is breathing new life into progressive power-building in North Carolina. Through extensive research, PNCF identifies organizations that are most effective at reaching voters, then evaluates what's needed to build their programs.

Co-hosted by All In for NC, Lean Left Vermont, NOPE, Register & Vote NC, Senate Circle, Swing Blue Alliance, and Together We Elect, this fundraiser will allow PNCF to find qualified, trained field leaders for year-round organizing. Early money is essential so that these leaders can get started on 2024 ASAP.

Help Keep the PA House of Representatives Blue

It's down to the wire for the May 16 special election in Pennsylvania, and we need you to help Heather Boyd prevent a Republican takeover of the PA legislature.

Although Boyd's district, PA 163, is a Democratic district, Republicans tend to turn out in greater numbers for spring elections, they have fielded a strong opponent, and they are pouring boatloads of money into this race.

We need to  GET EVERY LAST DEMOCRAT out to Vote!

Mon, May 8 and Mon, May 15 @ 5 pm - 7pm EDT

Thu, May 11 @ 5 pm - 7pm EDT

Postcards to Virginia

Primary Voters

Calling all postcard hosts! Swing Blue's next postcard campaign is to turn out voters for the June 20 primary in Virginia.

Early voting in this primary election for the House of Delegates has already begun. Republicans took control of this legislature in 2021, but have a narrow majority.

Turning out voters for primary elections has been shown to significantly increase turnout for the general election. Let's get started now to make sure VA goes Blue in 2024. Postcards will be available today (possibly a few hrs. after the newsletter comes out)!

State by State

What do Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, New York, New Hampshire, and Florida have in common?

They're all states where Swing Blue Alliance is building partnerships for 2024. Our planning process since November has identified these as the states that best meet Swing Blue's AIM HI criteria for choosing races where we can be most effective.

The more active volunteers we have, the more we can do. Our programs depend on partnerships with grassroots organizations in swing states and on volunteers who can coordinate with those local groups.

Our Mission

Swing Blue Alliance (formerly Swing Left Greater Boston) is the largest all-volunteer Democratic grassroots organization headquartered in Massachusetts. We use proven methods to protect our Democracy, work on competitive local and national elections, and strengthen the Democratic party at the grassroots level.

Your contribution will help fund the operations of this volunteer-produced newsletter, which goes out to over 15K subscribers.
