Help protect voting machines in NH!
The Closest You Can Get to Turning the Country Blue
New Hampshire is (geographically) the nearest opportunity to affect the 2022 elections. That’s why it makes sense for you to attend these NH-focused events.
Win Blue NH Monthly Meeting
Come meet NH Dems Coordinated Campaign head honcho Andrea Nemecek. As CC Director, Andrea oversees all field work for Sen. Maggie Hassan and coordinates every other race down the ballot. Andrea helped flip AZ in '18 and '20... and she plans to do the same in NH.
You'll also hear from Jeff Taylor about gerrymandering. As the Open Democracy Board Member and former campaign manager for Mayor Joyce Craig in Manchester, NH, Jeff knows NH.
This is your chance to learn about NH plans and strategy and ask questions!
Stop NH towns from doing away with voting machines while helping get out the vote for local candidates and town election officials. The Town Meeting Member elections are on March 8, so this is your last chance to help.
Volunteers T*B*D is so successful because callers engage former activists in conversation rather than passing on info and asking yes/no questions.
We hear you asking: What does that mean? How could I do that?
Here’s the answer: SBA has kicked off Communication Skills for Volunteer Recruiting training sessions, which include one-on-one practice and handouts. Previous attendees commented:
Listening is key to connecting
It feels good to be present, to hear the thoughts of the person with whom you are talking
Volunteers can express/explore their own sources of motivation
We can hear ideas about how to make our campaign better
SBA is ensuring your success and enjoyment by requiring callers to attend this training before signing up for Volunteers T*B*D events.
Many Swing Blue Alliance volunteers are looking for new opportunities to write letters and postcards. Right now, SBA is setting up a vote-by-mail (VBM) letter-writing campaign for Bucks County in Pennsylvania.
Why Bucks County? The 2022 elections in PA include an open US Senate seat, a flippable Congressional seat, state legislative seats that are newly competitive because of redistricting, and the Governorship.
Moreover, Bucks County Democrats turn in more mailed ballots than in any other county in the state. And mailed-in ballots increase turnout! Every mail-in-ballot is one more vote to put Democrats in these positions.
Status
Right now, SBA is helping postcard captains get ready for this exciting campaign. Captains will distribute addresses and VBM applications (provided by the PA Democratic party).
Would you like to amplify your impact in Bucks County?
Consider becoming a postcard captain. Once you sign up, you can learn more about what you can do and what kinds of support you will receive.
Come learn more about the impact of recent voter suppression laws in battleground states. Find out how all of us can mobilize to fight for voters in 2022.
The new voter protection organization, Power the Vote, is leading this event. The organizers at Power the Vote have extensive -- and successful -- experience curing ballots, answering hotline questions, and defeating voter challenges.
A chance to help
This free informational meeting also gives you the opportunity to donate to Power the Vote’s current campaign. They are funding the process of hiring, training, and supporting voter protection staff on the ground in battleground states (GA, NC, AZ, TX, FL).
Congresswoman Katherine Porter (CA-45) will kick off the meeting.
Being an activist means juggling your time, communications, and information overload. It is WAY easier to do this when you use apps in the Google Suite: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
All these tools are easy to use and available without any downloads. All you need is a Google account (which you probably have if you use Gmail).
Attend the March 5 training, Google Docs: Switching from Word, and learn how to:
Both sessions are co-hosted by Indivisible Acton Area, Swing Blue Alliance, and Indivisible Mass Coalition in collaboration with volunteers at the MAssachusetts Grassroots Information Center, a Slack workspace for exchanging information, encouraging connections among groups, and building activist momentum across the state.
