Meet Dynamic Grassroots Leaders in MA
Spring is here, and it's time to find out what’s up with other grassroots groups in Massachusetts, right from the source! At this month's Swing Blue Alliance All Volunteer Roundup, you’ll meet grassroots leaders from across the Commonwealth and get advice from these four panelists:
Beth Lev, Indivisible Northampton
Debbie Hart-Klein, Indivisible-RISE Newburyport
Lisa Baci, Indivisible LAB (Lexington, Belmont, Arlington)
These passionate activists are helping volunteers build a just and democratic society for now and years to come. Matt Caffrey, Senior Director, Grassroots Community Organizing at Swing Left will lead the discussion. Everyone who attends will receive a directory of local grassroots groups.
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu just announced he would veto the severely gerrymandered congressional maps that were going to move 25% of NH residents to a new district! Win Blue NH volunteers helped make that happen by asking NH voters to call Governor Sununu and urge him to veto the maps. Let’s keep the momentum going on the phones and at the doors!

Help Define the Democratic Platform
US Representative Chris Pappas is developing his campaign strategy based on the issues that matter to voters. And you can bet he’ll share this info with other Dem candidates in the 2022 elections. It's volunteers like you who are helping him collect info directly from NH voters. You’ll be making phone calls using deep canvassing techniques to get to the hearts of NH citizens.
If you're excited about the return to good weather, you'll be thrilled we're back to canvassing door to door in Nashua! Again, we're asking residents what's important to them. Plus, we're identifying likely Democratic voters!
This event, sponsored by the Organize NH Team, supports US Senator Maggie Hassan and down-ballot candidates. We’re getting a headstart, organizing earlier than ever before!
Are you an event coordinator? Have you ever set up a wedding? Do you love to throw galas? If you answer yes, here's a one-time chance to put your skills to work in support of democracy.
Here's a special opportunity! Swing Blue Alliance wants to host a kick-off event for our volunteers in late April/early May. You could make a huge contribution by offering your ideas, support, and organizing skills. Get in touch to learn more.
What Else Can You Do?
This newsletter focuses on events that Swing Blue Alliance runs or supports. Did you know there are many other actions you can take, depending on your interests?
Activist Training: Google Calendar Invitations and TBD
Whether you're actively volunteering or reading from the sidelines, the next two weeks of Activist Training offers classes about tasks most people see but aren't particularly comfortable doing.
