Kick Butt and Kick Out the Republicans
|
Don’t miss the upcoming Kick Butt Kick Off Dance Party, The evening mixes the best of everything: live salsa music interspersed with something for all ages. Good food, good drink, good company.
100% of your entry fee goes to Movement Voter Fund, which supports promising community-based organizations in key states, with a focus on youth and communities of color.
Take a break from dancing and take a swing upstairs to chat with Swing Left. You’ll learn about where Movement Voter Fund is sending the money it raises tonight: Make the Road Pennsylvania, which is building civic engagement and voter turnout among the Latino population in Lehigh Valley, PA. You’ll also find out how you can join
Swing Left Greater Boston with texting and on-the-ground activities in this key district (see next article).
Come dance with us!

Teamwork Is Key to Voter Registration in the Keystone State
|
Collaboration is the catalyst for effective voter registration in Lehigh Valley. That area and Allentown are part of Pennsylvania’s 7th district, which has the worst record in the state for voter turnout.
In Lehigh Valley, left-leaning groups are sharing materials, processes, and contacts, as well as their own expertise. Swing Left Boston is coordinating with Force Multiplier, Field Team 6, Make the Road PA, and Movement Voter Fund.
As a team, they bring a wide range of skills and approaches to the art of beating Trump and state Republicans. A key aim on their agenda is to protect Congressperson Susan Wild’s seat in the US House of Representatives.

20 friends + 20 dollars = a win in 2020

Write an Email, Elect a Democrat to the
|
Join #ShowBlueLove 2020, and we can raise the money necessary to beat Trump and elect our next Democratic President.
A Democratic victory depends on this: After the primaries, the nominated presidential candidate can’t win the crucial battle against Republicans without a war chest.
#ShowBlueLove 2020 has the formula to build that war chest: 20 friends + 20 dollars = a win in 2020.
It’s time to put this formula to work using our already drafted example and a cut-and-paste email approach.

30 volunteers + 16 degree temperatures = 45 newly registered voters at Portland Women’s March

Registering Voters to Beat Susan Collins
|
Thirty volunteers — ten from Maine — showed up in 16 degree weather. Why? To register voters at the Portland Women’s March on January 21.
Though the cold kept many spectators away, the crew was happy to register 45 progressive voters; they also recruited many new enthusiastic supporters of Swing Left and Field Team 6. It was great to see that two other groups were also registering people to vote.
