Recap from Swing Left Strategy Call
|
On Sunday evening, thousands of you dialed into Sunday’s National Strategy Call, where we laid out Swing Left’s grand plan to put Democrats in charge of the White House, Senate, and critical state houses this year. If you missed it, here’s a quick recap.
Between now and the Democratic convention, Swing Left is focusing on team-building. Volunteers together, we’re building strong alliances that will be able to hit the ground running over the summer.
We’re writing letters, registering voters, canvassing, hosting house parties, and running grassroots fundraisers. At every step, we’re going to find ways to create synergy among volunteers from a host of activist organizations.
In July, we’ll put this action into high gear. Then starting in September, we’ll begin a huge push to get out the vote — some battleground states have early voting. Our full-court press to reclaim our government will make the #BlueWave2018 look like a ripple.
Here are five quick steps you can take now:
- Congratulate yourself! You are already subscribed to New England’s best resource for unseating Trump and taking back our democracy. Read the newsletter every week from now until the election.
- Join a local group. Check out this list of local groups that took action with Swing Left in 2019; contact info@swingbluealliance.org for an introduction to any of these groups.
- Don’t wait. Start to fund the Democratic Presidential Nominee now. Make small dollar donations now, and ask your friends to donate, too. Donate to Swing Left Greater Boston’s Unify or Die Fund. We’ll send 100% of the money to the eventual Democratic nominee for President exactly when they’ll need it most — right after the convention in July 2020, at the start of the general election.
