Fall 2021 Swing Blue Alliance Internship Is Accepting Applications

Posted on July 31, 2021

Swing Blue Alliance/Swing Left Greater Boston (SBA/SLGB) is accepting applications for undergraduate interns for the fall semester.  This organization is the largest all-volunteer, grassroots political group of its kind in New England.  Over the last four years, SBA/SLGB volunteers have put our efforts into helping New Englanders work for elections and causes across the country.  In the lead up to 2020, SLGB/SBA worked in Florida, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to help elect Joe Biden as well as U.S. Congressional and Senatorial candidates.

Fall interns will work on a variety of projects including social media, research and data analysis, volunteer recruitment and organizing, writing and communications efforts and other assignments related to voter access and electoral politics. They will also help power the operations of SBA/SLGB.  Interns have the opportunity to participate in leadership development, hone skills needed in  political races, and learn how to mobilize their own communities to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

We are seeking a cohort of highly motivated, self-directed individuals to work with us over ten weeks from September 20 through November 19, 2021. These positions can be full-time or part-time.  We are an all volunteer organization, so these are unpaid internships, but we offer a great learning environment, mentorship, opportunities to meet like-minded colleagues and a chance to make a difference.  Many students have applied for and received college credits or financial support.

Send a resume and cover letter to Julia Thomson-Philbrook at internships@swingbluealliance.org to apply or learn more.
