ICE is buying and leasing warehouses to serve as detention camps throughout the country. These facilities, money makers for corporations, are an essential part of the sweeping attacks on immigrants. They are also part of a network that Rachel Maddow has pointed out will be used for citizens eventually. As she said, “if they build them, they will fill them.”
The Merrimack, NH community has successfully stalled the proposed sale of a warehouse to ICE. They will be speaking out at a Town Hall and numbers rallying outside can bring further attention and energy to their efforts.
We will be carpooling from Brookline to Merrimack to swell their numbers.
