This a local Worcester Indivisible event!
Protest the detestable ICE abduction of a Worcester woman on Thursday and the deplorable response of Worcester Police who manhandled and arrested two other women while enabling ICE to break the law.
We’re also protesting the claim by City Manager Eric Batista that Worcester Police have no power to prevent ICE from doing whatever it wants, legal or not.
PLEASE SHOW UP AT CITY HALL around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, for a large and noisy NON-VIOLENT public standout before the 6:30 City Council meeting. Bring your signs, pots and pans, drums and shakers and be ready to chant.
Worcester residents can sign up to speak at the meeting, but the protest itself will not extend inside City Hall. Our purpose is not to disrupt the meeting, but to make our voices heard. Loud and Clear. And to have a good time together in common cause. (Please don’t play drums in City Hall 🙂).
THIS CROWD-SOURCED EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO WANT TO UNITE IN OPPOSITION TO THIS ICE CAVE. We count on our crowd to work together to make this happen. Please tell your friends.
NO VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND. DON’T GIVE TRUMP THAT GIFT.
First they came for the migrants. And I did not speak out because I wasn’t a migrant. Then they came for the foreign students, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a foreign student. Then they came for Worcester…
