THIS WEEK: We will be writing in support of the Dignity Not Deportations Act, contacting state legislators here in Massachusetts. This act stops the deputizing of our state and local police officers to work with ICE, and faults state properties from being used for detention centers. This is an important bill in the current political environment not only here, but throughout the country.
This event is sponsored by the ACLU MA’S Postcard Writing Campaign for this Act, as well as in coordination with Red, Wine & Blue, a network of women throughout the country – visit redwine.blue for further information on the group and its activities.
Scripts are provided, as well as postcards. You can make them as short and simple, or longer and artistic as you like. Colored pencils and markers provided for the artistically minded, and ball point pens for the rest of us! This is a great opportunity to do something and make our voices heard against the fascist regime in the US! Take action and urge them to respect human rights.
