May 9th commemorates the White Rose Movement, a student led non-violent resistance group that urged the German people to oppose Hitler and his fascist regime.
“We will not be silent,” was the powerful statement used by the White Rose in Nazi Germany. And we cannot be silent today.
After listening to speakers in front of City Hall, participants will spread out along the sidewalks of Main Street downtown to proclaim our message of resistance.
