In recent months, we’ve seen a surge in attacks on our freedom of speech, press, and assembly. From attempts to limit protest rights to censorship of the press and social media, it’s more important than ever that we know our rights and how to fight back.
This month’s training will focus on understanding five different ways the First Amendment is being attacked, your rights under it, and the people’s power to protect their rights through protest. We will also cover the different ways you can assemble for a protest, some general tips, safety measures to take, and information on future protest actions you can help organize or join.
