BOSTON, MA – BVOCAL: Boston Voices of Community and Labor Chorus Rehearsal

BIVOCAL:  “Boston Voices of Community & Labor, they are a new protest chorus committed to uplifting our rallies, marches, picket lines, and civil disobedience with singing – wherever people gather for justice’. What is unique about BIVOCAL is that they are scaling up in size to build rapid response teams that can be organized as the need arises to compliment/augment pop-up marches & rallies.

Here’s how it works:

• Learn the songs by joining an occasional rehearsal, whatever works for your schedule (recordings will also be available).
• We’ll build a repertoire of old and new protest songs, including simple harmonies for more experienced singers.
• Sign up for the BVOCAL rapid response network and show up whenever you can.
• We’ll reach out to protest organizers and let them know we’re ready to teach, lead and sing songs with lyrics customized to their issue/struggle.

The rehearsal is at Plumbers and Gasfitters L12 Union Hall, 1240 Mass. Ave., Boston

Plenty of free parking: 15 min. walk from JFK T Station or various bus routes
