The Trump campaign successfully engaged voters and won the election despite being outraised and outspent by Democrats. MAGA drove and capitalized on rapid changes in the sources and messengers voters relied on for their information. They created an alternative reality of misinformation. Kate Bassett will walk us through what happened. She will explain and how Courier Newsroom and other media organizations are adapting to the new media realities, creating new infrastructure for Democrats to connect with voters and counter right wing messaging.
