ELECTION 2020 TRAVELER’S SERIES

Travelers Tales
Chloe Maxmin -- first-time Democratic candidate for State Senate -- figured out how to win in rural Maine, even though the area is becoming increasingly Republican.

One of her secret weapons? Bluebonnet Data, an innovative nonprofit that harnesses the power of college students. Bluebonnet trained her volunteer team to use data more efficiently.

Here’s a chance to hear from two campaign managers and their Bluebonnet Fellows as they describe supporting elections in two tough districts. Not every Bluebonnet Fellow volunteers for a winning campaign, but they are building the data infrastructure for a more competitive Democratic future.

VOTER SUPPRESSION

Dial New England for Democracy

Call for For the People
Now is the time to start dialing! This week, U.S. Senate Rules Committee is editing its version of the For the People Act before the entire Senate votes on the bill.

If you care about voting rights, this is your chance to get the word out. Swing Left Greater Boston has just launched new phone banks for next week targeting New Hampshire and other New England states. Why New England? Because moderate Senators like Maggie Hassan are receiving calls from the opposition!

At these phone banks, you'll call constituents of Senators Hassan (NH), Leahy (VT), and Collins (ME), asking them to urge their senators to support filibuster reform (Leahy & Hassan) or co-sponsor the act (Collins). These are easy calls to voters who agree that the Federal government should act to end partisan gerrymandering, eliminate dark money in politics, and make it easier for all Americans to vote.

Call to action

Call New Englanders to eliminate the filibuster and pass For the People.

Various times and days

Call Arizona as well!

Mondays, May 10, 17, and 24 @ 4:00 pm–6:00 pm
