ALLIANCES

Common Cause Drives S.1 Advocacy

Common Cause Alliance
Given the importance of the For the People Act and all it represents; grassroots organizations are teaming up to amplify their influence. Swing Blue Alliance/Swing Left (SBA/SLGB) has joined with Common Cause on this critical issue.

For the last 50 years, Common Cause has supported citizens’ campaigns across a wide range of areas, from the Vietnam War through today’s fight for freedom to vote. Their campaigns stem from the belief that the U.S. government should serve all the people, not just the wealthy or partisan special interests.

SBA/SLGB offers a battle-tested volunteer network with proven results. The alliance gives us the expanded capacity of a well-known and well-funded national advocate for citizen power. Call to action

S. 1 Rally

Concord Indivisble Logo
July 10th, 10AM Rally at Monument Square, Concord
Most of us, no matter our skin color, origin, or gender, want America to be a place where freedom is for everyone, where we all have an equal say, and where we can trust in the integrity of our elections. But today, a handful of politicians want to put up barriers to silence many of our voices based on what we look like or where we live.

We are coming together to demand that every eligible American has the freedom to vote. Swing Blue Alliance/Swing Left Greater Boston is a proud co-sponsor of the Concord Indivisible Rally. Join us in Concord’s Monument Square. There will be opportunities to sign up to write postcards, make phone calls, text, and post on social media. Plan to bring signs!

Rep. Ayanna Pressley Speaks at S. 1 Rally

Pressley speaks at Freedom to Vote Rally
Last Saturday June 26th, Swing Blue Alliance co-sponsored the Boston S. 1 Rally.
Pushing the For the People Act through Congress is more important than ever because of SCOTUS’s recent decision to uphold voting restrictions in Arizona. It is not too late to write postcards or join a phone bank. Debate in Congress will likely continue through the middle of August. Our postcards have already generated thousands of calls and with your support, we can generate thousands more.
