SPECIAL EVENT!

Election 2020 Travelers Tales II

Sunday, December 20 @ 7:00 pm

Here's your chance to hear real-life stories from SLGB volunteers who traveled the country, from the wilds of Montana to the streets of Philadelphia, where people were dancing and singing to protect the count. These spirited people set aside worries about COVID to work on the ground on the 2020 elections.

RSVP to Travelers' Tales Part II, sit by the virtual fire, and enjoy tales from:
  • Jeff Angus: Canvassing for Steve Bullock in Montana
  • Mutaz Abdelrahim and Rachel Massey: Connecting with Immigrant Communities with the New Mainers Alliance
  • Hari Kumar: Protecting the Vote in Rural Wisconsin
  • Margaret Kwateng: Protecting the Count in Philly
  • Kathleen Borschow: Still Time to Protect the Vote in Georgia

GEORGIA SENATE RUN-OFF

Join Joe in Georgia

Join Joe in Georgia
Now that Joe has hit the Peach State, let’s give him a hand. Joe's success in Washington depends on Dem wins in the Senate runoff campaign. Here are some of the ways you can join Joe through SLGB.

PHONE BANKS

Carolyn Bourdeaux fights for Dems in GA runoffs
Carolyn Bourdeaux’s successful campaign for U.S. Congress has pivoted to turning out Democratic voters in Gwinnett and Forsyth Counties -- and SLGB is pitching in! As the only Democrat in the nation to flip a House seat, Representative-elect Bourdeaux is an ideal partner.

Carolyn's team knows how to win in Georgia,
and we can help them do it again!

Monday, December 21 @ 600 pm - 8:00 pm

Get out the vote in Forsyth and Gwinnett Counties any day of the week.

POSTCARDS

Get out the vote in DeKalb
The DeKalb County Democrats have asked SLGB volunteers to apply their successful experiences to writing inconsistent voters who DID vote on November 3. The postcards thank them for voting and ask them to vote AGAIN in the runoffs on January 5.

Pick one (or two?) of many opportunities to get infrequent voters back to the polls!

VOTER PROTECTION

Stop voter suppression
SLGB is teaming with voter protection experts VoPro Pros on the January Senate Runoff Election. We’re recruiting and scheduling canvassers for door-to-door ballot cure, as well as verifying info for mailers to all 129 counties.

Behind the scenes, SLGB volunteers and VoPro Pros are helping with coordination, data entry, training, backend logistics, and other support activities for both the Ossoff and Warnock campaigns.

UPDATE ON PEACEKEEPING

Hear from on-the ground volunteers
If you attended the first in the Travelers' Tales series, you heard from Bob Masters and Dan Luken, the Vietnam vets who protected the vote count in Detroit. Now, they’re on the ground in Macon, GA, as part of the Election Defenders’ peacekeeping mission.

They news from Macon is good! Black voting rights groups are well organized: handing out coffee, donuts, Doritos, rain ponchos, you name it. People are energized, and spirits are high. So many friendly, mask-wearing faces -- and no MAGA hats!
Call to action

Hear from other on-the-ground volunteers on Dec 20 @ 7:00 pm.
