You and the 34%: Connecting with High Potential Voters

September 22 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm EDT

Last year 34% of the voting eligible population didn’t vote. What would it take to change that, and build power for a progressive agenda?

Learn how to engage your curiosity and compassion to have meaningful conversations with these “high-potential” voters. Whether you’re brand new to phone banking and canvassing or have been talking with voters for decades, this interactive training will show you how to draw out voters’ own desires for change, and channel that energy into voting. You’ll also get a chance to practice these skills in a supportive environment. Join us to build your phone banking and canvassing toolkit and help increase participation in the democratic process!

Your event hosts: Swing Left San Francisco, Swing Left Peninsula and Swing Blue Alliance/Swing Left Greater Boston.

Led by:

• Jacqueline Tulsky, MD, an HIV primary care and addiction medicine specialist and Motivational Interviewing trainer.

• Elizabeth Chur, an experienced phone banker and canvasser who trained hundreds of volunteers in 2020. Her workshops have included Phone Bank Training for Introverts and Spanish for Phone Banking.
