Twenty-nine days until Election Day! North Carolina early voting starts on October 17 – despite the devastation of Hurricane Helene. You’ll be moved to hear about how Down Home NC is working in the mountains today, and about the progress being made toward the door-knocking goal of 4,000,000 doors by the many non-profit groups engaged in this massive effort and learn how grassroots campaigns are making big progress toward breaking the gerrymandered Republican legislative supermajority.
Listen to The States Project’s analysis of the tightest, most important statehouse races. They have been working in NC since 2018 and are well-positioned to speak about the current political landscape.
Finally, we will also be joined by two candidates. Martin Moore is a candidate for the NC Court of Appeals, and in 2022 he was the only Democrat to flip a Republican-held county commission seat. Bryan Cohn is an Oxford City Councillor running to flip House District 32 and break the super-majority.
