This year for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are focusing on action.
Dr. King’s family: Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, and Yolanda Renee King–along with faith leaders, civil rights leaders, and voting rights advocates across the country– have called for us to focus on demanding voting rights legislation and access to the ballot box this year.
Indivisible Mass Coalition is joining the New Democracy Coalition on Sunday for a Prayer Vigil and Voting Rights Action Event at Faneuil Hall in advance of Monday 1/17 events. Communities across the country will gather to mark MLK Day and to demand our elected officials pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, without letting outdated Senate loopholes get in the way.
We need to send a message to our leaders: no celebration without legislation. Join us for a day of action voting rights, as we honor Dr. King with action.
